The laws of quantum physics served as inspiration for the album Hiatus Blues. Guitarist Frank Wingold pursued the idea of entanglement, synchronicity, and the coordinated interplay of elements on different levels. Together Robert Landfermann on double bass and drummer Jonas Burgwinkel, Frank Wingold breaks the traditional roles of the instruments and redefines them. For this album, he attempted to fill the live experience of the trio with new repertoire, both compositionally and in the improvised passages, elevating it to a new level. Thus, the concept transformed across multiple layers, turning the ping-pong game of particles into vibrant, pulsating music.

Frank Wingold Cologne, Germany

Frank Wingold studied jazz and classical guitar at the well-known Hilversum Conservatory. Now he lives in Cologne and is part of various local bands.
